 SFX                                                       Thursday 3rd February 2022 LO; to create a realistic green screened clip using imovie  Special effects are illusions or visual tricks used in the theatre, film, television, video game, and simulator industries to simulate the imagined events in a story or virtual world. Special effects are traditionally divided into the categories of mechanical effects and optical effects.  Pyrotechnics, prosthetic makeup, animatronics, and live-action weather elements  are just a few examples of special effects .  CGI stands for computer generated imagery, which is the use of computer graphics in art and media. These can be 2D or 3D animations, objects, or renderings.

careers behind the camera

  Thursday 21st October 2021                careers behind the camera  LO: to explore possible film industry roles and career paths.     discussing mood and atmosphere - thrilling - suspenseful  - tense i thought the part with the most tension was when the cars crashed                                prediction of cuts in 30 seconds - 25       actual amount of cuts - 25  increasing a number of cuts is a way to build tension and excitement    we took mirror photos of the other person without showing a camera/phone in the mirror, to do this we had to think about where we were positioned so that we didn't catch the camera in the mirror. this includes using different camera angles that work with the mirror so it looks like there isn't a camera there.                ...
